April 10, 2009 continued HONDA DEALER'S PLANS PRAISED (continued) The company hopes to begin construction within 60 days, said Brian Sheahan, Lake County director of planning and community design. Commissioner Jimmy Conner applauded the company for its "good [first] impression." The county had attached special conditions to the project to protect the surrounding neighborhood, which had previously battled a concrete plant over noise and pollution complaints. Sheahan described Honda as extremely amenable" to the concerns of neighbors. Located less than a mile from the Orange-Lake county line, the dealership is expected to employ between 80 and 100 people. |
